Life Gets in the Way

It would appear that I have been dreadfully negligent of this blog. I wanted to write nearly everyday (at least three or four times a week), but it is becoming quite difficult during this time of year.

Between preparing my budget and compiling statistics for my annual report, not to mention the zillions of meetings I have been having, touching base at work has been nearly impossible.

In addition, my wife wants to quit or downsize her work hours. To prove that we can pull it off financially, she has been doing quite of Ebay selling. This ties up the home computer. She has been bugging me to start a family and she is bound and determined to be the next Ebay millionaire to prove she can stay home with our future 2.3 children.

So, here it is - Jeff is fading away from the blog world. However, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. In a couple of weeks, things should stabilize and I will be back. I will still blog as much as I can till then, but in the words of Andy Griffith, "Don't overexpect." (Bonus points for those who can tell me when he said this.) ;)

Aw... we'll miss you, Jeff! But I can certainly understand how life can get in the way. I have the same sorts of writing goals, but with one thing and another...

Good luck with the family-starting biz. But you know she can work for another year or so while the bun's in the oven... And it can be done one one salary - you just have to be careful. My husband was laid off for 6 years and I had a baby during that time. He stayed home with the boy until he was three and ready for some outside interaction. Thin times, but very good ones too.

Good luck - and I'll still be checking back from time to time! You may need this blog still - for blowing off steam.

I've been fading from blog land for a while.

I spent to much time at it.

...but I still peek my head in the door from time to time.

Sayre: You don't have to miss me much. I am still trying to blog at least a couple of times per week. It just won't be as long or quite as often for a couple of weeks.

Nikki: It is easy to get lost in blogland and neglect real life land. Balance is the key. I try to look at it as the time I spend in blogland is an investment in my future. Ludicrous, I know. ;)

We have found that the virtual world is a beguiling place, and that we must limit exposure to it; otherwise, it becomes too real and can morph into a trap. Write only as much as you feel compelled to.
Peace,
Bonnie and Walt

Sometimes, life gets in the way! But we'll keep an eye out for ya. You can set up your blog to post via email if that'd be quicker for you and you have the urge to BLOG!

Oh and Andy used that sage advice on Gomer Pyle, didn't he? About a date?

Bonnie and Walt: Yes, it can take over your life if you let it. Fortunately, or unfortunately, outside pressures prevent that from happening.

Jimmy: Woot Woot!! You get the bonus points. Andy told Gomer not to overexpect about the blind date he was going on with Thelma Lou's cousin. Every time Gomer asked if she was pretty, Barney and Andy kept emphasizing that she was NICE!

Starting a family! Don't given in! Stay strong, man! There's something in the water up here that's making all the woman pregnant...

I've called DRN to look into the contamination...Try keeping the wife on bottled water until further notice.

JEFF - So you're saying that you're letting a little thing like work, life and starting a family get in the way of blogging?

Where are your priorities?? Tsk tsk.
